And here's the shot before any processing, where you can see the tripod that the flash was sitting on. I painted the tripod out in Photoshop, and also lightened the shot a little, and pushed it towards a warmer, yellow/magenta tonality that seemed to give it a little more of a "magical" look.
Beautiful picture and composition. I thought the effect was all photoshop at first, but the light on the door makes me think there might be a spotlight as well. Or is there? You know it's good when there's true magic!
ReplyDeleteHey Jules! Thanks so much! Yes: this was actually a practical special effect. I positioned my new off-camera flash directly behind the glass of water, pointed at the camera. Then I painted out the flash's tripod in Photoshop. I'll add the "before" shot to the post.
